I’ve got a fairly long and steep concrete driveway that is starting to show its age a little bit. There has been some minor cracking from the freeze-thaw cycle each winter. I decided to try the Armour SX5000 water-based sealant to see if it would improve the situation. I have delayed writing this review for a bit as I wanted to driveway to go through at least one winter season. I first pressure washed the entire driveway surface which is pretty time consuming. I then applied the Armour sealant with a manual pump sprayer. This part went fairly quickly. The trick is to get the sealant covering the driveway well, but not so much as to create puddles that aren’t absorbed. I made sure there was no rain in the forecast for a couple of days. Initially, I did half of the driveway first and the first day that it rained the difference on the two sides was very noticeable. Water on the coated side was beading and running off and on the other side it was being absorbed into the concrete. Perfect! Excellent quality! Great price. Paid $125. Sounds quieter than I expected. About the same loudness as my old insinkerator that was only 1/3 hp. Haven’t put food down it yet but it takes gel and water. Installation instructions were confusing because one piece was different than pictured and they are not labled properly. My first time booking something like this up and it took about one hour. Used youtube to help put it together. It’s very heavy so I recommend using a bucket to hold it up. Wayfair delivered the wrong item at first but then sent me the correct one without a hassle. I know I can always count on Wayfair to make it right!
