Very lovely pot set. I must admit that I thought they would be a little bigger. I love the fact that the handles come off and go on pretty easily and can be used for all of the pots. The for covers for stacking purposes is a really nice feature. I have not used them yet but am looking forward to be able to actually use them in the oven. They are actually relatively light. So I am assuming they are not iron. It seems like some different kind of material. They are pretty easy to assemble and the instructions are great. The protective base is also a great addition.. Really great price for this Tramontina skillet with lid. The nonstick ceramic interior is actually beautiful and works great. Easy to handwash and also dishwasher safe. As empty nesters, especially with higher food costs currently, we have been eating smaller portions.
