I have written some other reviews on the refill kit + 3 1 lb tank combo, a 4 1 lb tank combo (the most economical way to buy tanks at present), and on my first purchase of 1/2 lb tanks. This size is ideal for smaller items like a searing torch, small heaters or to run a single burner stove. My only real complaints are price (1/2 lb tanks cost more per gram of capacity than 1 lb tanks...it does take a similar amount of effort to make both sizes with only a small difference in material costs. The other minor issue is the concave bottom part of the tank protrudes just slightly beyond the tank skirting so they tend to rock slightly. Might be fixed in future tanks with quality improvements by the manufacturer. In any case, considerably more cost effective than purchasing disposable tanks.. David. Fri May 17 2024

I bought this as a companion to the 20 lb. tank that we use for most things that require propane in our camper. The 20 lb. tank is enclosed in a garage which is convenient for most things, but can sometimes get in the way. This tank allows me to buy bulk propane, which is much more economical than disposable 1 lb. canisters, providing both a backup to the 20 lb. tank and the option to move the tank easily to other locations in our campsite. My initial purchase of these was on the pricey side, 1 lb tanks being a more cost effective option. Other factors influenced me to get smaller tanks for small handheld torches and the like so I bought a couple to try out. Very similar to the 1 lb Flame King tanks but the bottom skirt could be a wee bit longer. The concave bottom protrudes a bit and makes the tank rock slightly when placed on a flat surface. I am ordering two more today as there is a savings on a 2 tanks purchae. Great for mounting a small stove burner on and these tanks are lighter and smaller for daytime hikes.. David.
