I did not purchase this to use as a desk. I needed a corner vanity and did not want to spend a lot of money. This was perfect for the budget and worked out great! The directions were very straightforward and easy to follow with the exception of the final step of placing the top shelving to the bottom base. The two sections in the corner as I show in the picture want to separate. This requires two people. I assembled this by myself and it took several hours. It is a great piece of furniture for a gaming desk or to use as a vanity. The light strip is a straight continuous wire and does not have an L shape to allow for the corner and sticks out. I am not going to lie. I was leery, but my expectations were exceeded just on the packaging alone! Took me about an hour to put together, instructions were easy-ish to follow. The operation is smooth, very quiet when moving up/down. The wiring threw me off a bit, as the light controller is in the box with the desk and everything else is in the box with the frame. I am very pleased, it feels sturdy. Caution, the box with the frame is much heavier than expected, but you can tell quality went into the making. Didn't have to program the motors or calibrate them. The cup holder is a nice touch for sure! I do wish it came with a PC tower holder, but there was room on top for the desktop. I am a developer, not a gamer, but it's perfect for my setup! The price is higher than many of the others but I chose this one, because the top is a solid piece and not split like a majority of the others. Perfect for any gamer. It was just the right size for my needs, pretty easy to put together, and looks amazing when turned on (not turned on in the photo because I need an extension cord). I love the cup and headphone holders, they’re very helpful in keeping my area organized. Speaking of organized, it came with tools to manage cords foresight I appreciated. Only complaint if I had to nitpick, the glass top makes it so everything shows up on it easily. This is a great chair! It was easy to put together and came with very large and clear instructions. The chair is covered in a microfiber fabric and is very comfortable. The lumbar pillow is a great addition and adds some back support for long hours of studying or playing video games. Unfortunately the headrest hits my son in a weird spot because he is so tall.
