This arrived well packaged with no issues. It is heavy duty. Its made up of 4 glass panels with corner connectors you attach yourself using a Philips screwdriver. There are heat resistant feet that hold it up about an inch for an air gap needed by the burners. I would not use my firepit without it since it protects those sitting near from the flames blowing their direction, or being blow out. The design is really nice for attaching the glass panels at the 90-degree angles. The hardware is solid, and not prone to 'stripping' out. There are little legs on the bottoms of each corner hardware, with a little rubber foot. The is nice because the glass itself is setting up (and not on) the mantel surface.
