I hope I will be able to edit this post and share pictures of the finished project next month! I absolutely adore these tiles. They’re stunning! The deep green color has the perfect level of character and variation it’s just perfect. I would have given it a 5-star rating, but the way they were packed was quite disappointing. Instead of using a piece of paper or something to separate the layers of tiles, they used this strange dried gluestrip. It probably would have been helpful, but it wasn’t applied to the highest ridge of the tiles, resulting in some scuff marks on the outer edges. I’m sure they won’t be noticeable to anyone else, but I notice EVERYTHING (it’s a curse). Overall, I’m extremely happy with my purchase at this point prior to installation. The tiles are simply beautiful. I did receive one box of broken tiles, but Wayfair was fantastic. They sent me a replacement box right away and didn’t make me return the broken ones. I’ve got a fairly long and steep concrete driveway that is starting to show its age a little bit. There has been some minor cracking from the freeze-thaw cycle each winter. I decided to try the Armour SX5000 water-based sealant to see if it would improve the situation. I have delayed writing this review for a bit as I wanted to driveway to go through at least one winter season. I first pressure washed the entire driveway surface which is pretty time consuming. I then applied the Armour sealant with a manual pump sprayer. This part went fairly quickly. The trick is to get the sealant covering the driveway well, but not so much as to create puddles that aren’t absorbed. I made sure there was no rain in the forecast for a couple of days. Initially, I did half of the driveway first and the first day that it rained the difference on the two sides was very noticeable. Water on the coated side was beading and running off and on the other side it was being absorbed into the concrete. It’s good stuff! Love the color and finish, and as mosaic tiles go, it’s a very easy install. Being porcelain, it’s very hard and durable, and perhaps best of all, you can use an orbital sander to remove thinset and grout without damaging the finish—huge time saver! Just one critical thing to know in advance: these are spaced at 4mm, and you’ll have to search hard to find 4mm spacers. 3/16 is too wide, 1/8 is too skinny. On the upside, if things start looking a wee bit out of alignment, you can use those 3/16 and 1/8 spacers (very selectively) to cheat a little, with no discernible impact to aesthetics.. Ryan. These are nice tiles, but difficult to work with because there is variation in the width and length of the tiles which makes it so some tiles have barely any grout line while others have extra.
