These outdoor light are really bright and pretty. They were almost long enough to cover the front area of my house, so I had to put some solar powered lights at the very end. To achieve this look in the window the lights were strung back and forth 4 times. It’s pretty long. I like that the icicles are long too. There is no remote, but to change the lights you must go to where it’s plugged in at the outlet- there’s a MODES button. So, still need to turn on and off at the outlet. I do enjoy these lights though I just leave them on. It’s very nice that when they are turned off during the day and turned on when it’s dark, they turn back in at whatever MODE it was set at when it’s turned off. These are excellent commercial grade LED bulbs which can replace traditional HID metal halide/high pressure sodium bulbs. Ballast must be bypassed, as these use just normal 120V line voltage. Also as advertised, these feature a sliding switch which allows you to select the wattage and lumen output, a fantastic feature which allows for some customization. Another great feature of these bulbs is the fact that they can be used in many standard base light fixtures with an inexpensive (not included) E39 adapter.
