Thomson Paper has a clock face made of an unique design paper called Mermaid, named after the ripples of the sea, the home of the mermaid. Gentle, pleasant, and with superb choice of color, designer Yuichi Nara creates a three-dimensional numbers on the Thomson Paper's clock face using the iconic Thomson die-cutting machine, used to manufacture puzzles. The edges of the number outlines stamped out are naturally rounded like a tensed water surface and drop soft shadows into the spaces stamped out. Part of the Lemnos Plywood core collection.

I gulped a little bit before dropping $170 on a wall clock, but the blue color was just what we were looking for to pick up the same tone as our kitchen island. I also liked the 3D "carving" of the numerals into the paper clock face. Once arrived and on the wall, it hits all the right things and looks great. We are very happy with it. The photo for what was ordered shows a setting of 2 forks, 2 spoons, and a knife. A 5 piece setting for $315.00 which fits since a single piece can be purchased elsewhere for about $60.00. So we ordered 2 sets for $630.00. What we found out is that it was not for a full setting but just one teaspoon. $630.00 for 2 silver teaspoons. Absolutely ridiculous! The Royal Danish silver "place" spoon I ordered came today; it is exactly what I wanted! Earlier I returned a "table" spoon, which actually was a serving spoon. In any case, I was most impressed with how efficiently and easily Wayfair made this whole process. Thank you very much. That said, however, I must tell you that both I and my husband are retired and living in a retirement community. Consequently, we are trying to give away our possessions, not acquire more.
