It’s sturdy. I can’t comment on putting it together since we hired a contractor to put it together. However, the description says the canopy filters UV rays, and while I can’t argue that point, I can tell you it’s hotter than heck sitting underneath it. I have only had it up for a month, and it hasn't been through any harsh weather. I will report if it becomes an issue. Personally love this gazebo! My must haves were to have both curtains and screen panels and to have netting at the top. Fit our sectional dining table easily. We have also hung lights perimeter which was easy with the plastic loops on the corners of the roof! It was fairly easy to put together though my husband is very handy. Only thing that was a little difficult was getting the canopy on the center posts once 34 were on, the last was extremely tight. But I’d rather have that than it be loose and come off!
