No instructions included in our box. Parts were labeled like there should have been instructions- but, we had an adventure putting it together. The short poles are the bottom uprights, bend closest to the short pole junction. Then there’s the long poles horizontal between the three uprights. This is a great raised garden bed. We did get chicken wire and put it under the entire structure, so moles and gophers couldn't come up through it, and believe me they have tried. The flaps are great when harvesting the back side of the plants. I didn't give this a 5 star, because the gate doesn't stay shut without propping something on it or placing a rock pile under it.
