I thought about getting an ice cream maker machine and I’m so glad I got this. I read you need rock salt for machines and this bowl requires nothing. You just need to freeze it. This is my second attempt at buying/using an ice maker. The first time I never worked and that’s bc it was a very poorly ventilated mobile home in Florida and the heat was too much. Now, I’m in a ‘regular’ home and thought I’d give it another’s try with this model and low and behold, this thing cranks out the ice non-stop and you don’t need to stand their while it’s doing it but it helps bc you do want to put the ice in your freezer - I used a metal mixing bowl and filled it to the top in mere minutes. It’s very easy to use, just pour water in, plug it in and about 9 cubes every 6 minutes as it states is true. I’m very pleased and I would whole-heartedly recommend this product fully.. Dean. Great product for the price. I've been using this machine at my boba shop for 2 weeks and it's not bad. However, not really a commercial rated product since the output is less than advertised. It's approximately 3-4 servings (170g per serving which is a standard) at once then wait 3-5 minutes for chamber to freeze soft serve again for reuse. The actual output is approximately 48-60 serving per hour at the most not 200 servings. It's still a bargain for the price and the quality of the soft serve ice cream it dispenses is excellent. The only issue that I have had, is cleaning the chocolate flavored ice cream.. Soap and Water is not quite enough, so I use One-Step cleaning solution that I have for my homebrewing.
