This gate is perfect and has features I didn’t even know I needed! I originally bought a pet gate from another site, that just had the bars, and no plexiglass. Unfortunately, my cat kept trying to shove his face through, and I was worried about him hurting himself. The latch could also be opened if he were to jump up and pull down on it, and the gate had a lot of play in the middle, so it would wobble back and forth. I returned it and got this gate. It took care of all of the issues I had regarding the first one! No more fear of my cat trying to push his face through the bars, the latch is cat proof, and it is much more stable! I didn’t even have to add the bonus hardware half way up to add to the stability. I also love the added feature of the door swinging both ways, as it makes it easier to keep my cat back who tries to get out at times when I am coming through the gate. This is Lupita, an escape artist disguised as a spunky mini schnauzer. She had managed to wedge her way out of any tiny gap in our fence. Long story short, we ended up replacing an entire back fence to keep her in our yard....which didn’t work! She managed to wedge through the new fence. Our fence was lined with rocks and stones in an attempt to keep her in but she still dug around them UNTIL...my husband found this!!!! I hammered them in to all of the areas she was wedging through and she has not gotten out of our yard since! Simply amazing! I would definitely recommend it. We had a lot of barriers left over, but will be using them on other yards where she spends time, like my in-laws yard.
