I would give a 10 if I could. I have a bad back and so finding a chair that is comfortable for both short and long periods of time is crucial. This chair is amazing! It hugs just right at the bottom of the shoulder blades and but is designed with a slight flair so as you recline a bit it to adjusts to hold your back without you feeling stiff or in a position that isn’t real. We actually like that they provide the ability to have dinner and then if we choose continue at the table with conversation or even games for long periods of time thereafter. The chairs required installation and I had a heck of a time getting the plastic (usually wood) dowels into the holes! This is embarrassing to say, but I literally put them in the freezer for awhile and then used a hammer to get them placed in the dowel hole, otherwise I couldn't get them in. Once I figured that out, it went fairly smoothly and for 2 chairs, it took me ~20 min. The color matches my walnut dining table well. They are comfortable and modern. Love it! Only issue was putting the chairs together...Instructions say to put cushions on first, but then the chairs can be unlevel...My brilliant hubby determined putting the cushions on last ensure all chairs were level!
