I’ve got a fairly long and steep concrete driveway that is starting to show its age a little bit. There has been some minor cracking from the freeze-thaw cycle each winter. I decided to try the Armour SX5000 water-based sealant to see if it would improve the situation. I have delayed writing this review for a bit as I wanted to driveway to go through at least one winter season. I first pressure washed the entire driveway surface which is pretty time consuming. I then applied the Armour sealant with a manual pump sprayer. This part went fairly quickly. The trick is to get the sealant covering the driveway well, but not so much as to create puddles that aren’t absorbed. I made sure there was no rain in the forecast for a couple of days. Initially, I did half of the driveway first and the first day that it rained the difference on the two sides was very noticeable. Water on the coated side was beading and running off and on the other side it was being absorbed into the concrete. I received my artificial cedar shrubs, earlier this afternoon, delivered by FEDEX ground delivery service. I have ordered similar faux shrubs before and they really look good mixed in with live plants. Unless someone is looking at them close up it is hard to tell that they are faux shrubs. I purchased these faux shrubs for use in a couple of problem areas of my flowerbeds that dry out quite easily and the soil is difficult to keep moist.
