The unit is whisper quiet depending on the setting. Even on high, it’s much more quiet than the traditional non inverter units. It’s worth the bump in price. This toilet is VERY heavy! It definitely takes 2 adults to carry it. Extra tall really means extra tall, I checked the height when I ordered it and knew it was a good bit taller than the standard toilet but in person it’s very tall. I’m 5’9” and I’m on my toes when sitting. It looks very nice and the skirted bottom makes it so much easier to clean. The skirt makes it harder to install but not terribly. Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing.
