While the top is soft and plush to the touch, when we lay one it that soft layer turns to support the curves in your body while the underlying firmness of the mattress supports the whole body. This was a breeze to apply. Simply shook the container to mix the contents and then applied with a paint roller. Avoided work during direct sunlight hours. Re-applied until the container was empty. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports. Gerber isnt as well-known a brand as some others, but when I was shopping for fixtures for a full bathroom, it was carried by a local, highly-respected plumbing supply store, and I wound up choosing them for their design.
