Fossil Blu fireclay sinks are comprised of solid genuine crystalline-silica fireclay. When paired with a silica-based glaze and fired at 2200 degrees, the two silicas fuse together, creating a new quartz-like material. As opposed to inferior ceramic sinks, which are usually hollow core, fired at lower temperatures, and exhibit little fusing, ours is far superior and engineered to remove even the possibility of hairline cracks/crazing. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for, and investment in Fossil Blu is worth every penny.

Finished on all 4 sides lets you choose the plain or fluted apron front. Distressing marks make it shabby elegance. There are many benefits to fireclay. Its glazed surface inhibits bacterial growth more than stainless steel. It is eco-friendly requiring fewer cleansers. Made and hand-finished in Italy, each sink is unique. Due to the firing process, dimensions are nominal and may vary to actual up to 0.5". Custom cabinet or apron cabinet required. *A note about fireclay: small cracks will appear on the unglazed underside of the sink. These are cosmetic only and have no impact on the performance of the sink.
