Bought this several months ago. Although I sent the link with specs and installation instructions to the builder's subcontractor, he installed the grill on wood supports which is combustible. Of course, the builder blamed us for not buying via his subcontractor (which would have been much more expensive). After the subcontractor made a steel box with cement board to address the combustion issue, we discover he didn't allow room to pull the grease pans out. These metal grids add a lot to my sink. The sink is not really expensive but the grate makes it look upscale. Plus it saves the sink from scratches, and it makes it easy to pour out waste under the other items that are sitting in the sink.
