It can only dim within the app, it's not compatible with standard dimmers. Grouping and scheduling: using the app you can group smart bulbs to control them. I received two rolls and put one roll under the bed and decided to put the other roll up on the wall. There is still so much roll left over but I just did not want to move the dresser to tape it down the bottom. The tape is sticky and has held up for almost a month now and it is still going strong. Great product for the price. The LEDs make it easy to change colors. Easy to install. This is the 10" and we could have gone a little bigger for the space. Had we gone with the 13" we wouldn't have to touch up paint around it, but I also like that they aren't that noticeable and something bigger might have been too obtrusive as this is just a small rectangle between multiple rooms.
