We bought this for our 6 year old and she loves it. My husband and I (well, mostly him) put it together ourselves and while it took quite a while (because there's like 8000 pieces to it), the instructions were surprisingly clear. Some of the wood was warped and didn't fit together very we, but with a few tweaks we got it to work. Make sure there's a strong person available on delivery day because the driver needed my husband's help to get it off the truck. No way I would have been able to move those boxes. We researched swing sets for so long. We read so many reviews and stressed over it. We finally went with this one because it had a lot going on but was also compact for our small space. I ordered the red folding ladder. I really like it. I love the fact that when I stand on the top step, I have something to brace my legs against. I think this is an important safety feature. Very nice ladder. I didn’t think this ladder would be so well made and built. It folds to a compact size. There was only a handle to assemble on it when you take it out of the box and it didn’t take long at all to get that on. Very sturdy when climbing up. The steps are narrow and it weighed more than I thought it would. My grandkids are spoiled This play set is fantastic! Based on the other reviews, I was worried about the size but it is perfect! Four-sided with all kinds of activities, double slides (yes, they are a bit steep and fast but no ones complaining), a rock wall, swing set, monkey bars, an upper fort and a lower area with a serving window and bench.
