Although 1 person could assemble, it does help with 2 people and would probably make assembly half as long. Also, 2 other tools came in handy: an adjustable wrench was needed to make screwing in the bolt faster while the tool they provided worked great to keep the underside of the bolt in place while tightening. Also, a rubber mallet was useful to tamp down the front gate so it fits snugly. The 4 hinge clamps ended up not being necessary to keep the side, front and rear gates in place. This wagon was the missing piece for my farm and immediately proved its usefulness as soon as it was assembled. It was easy to maneuver onto my riding mower hitch and tows very easily. Very easy to unhitch and roll into place for storage. Highly recommend this for anyone who needs to haul/transport something that a truck would be overkill for. I am finding new uses for it daily!. I received the beach cart very quickly. It was easy to assemble but I do have a few tips. First, the blow up wheels are rubber but a more of a hard rubber. I was concerned that pulling the cart over streets to get to the beach would be a problem. It is not. Second, the wheels are received deflated and are actually concaved inward as if someone punched them. Well, the tire pump they give you is basically useless and it would take forever. Also, since they are concaved and you only want to put the pressure up to 2-3 PSI, you could never get all the bumps out of it by hand. Fortunately, I have an electric pump and first over inflated the tires a bit to get the bumps out to create a round tire and then I deflated them to the 2-3 PSI. Lastly, this is meant to a beach cart and the Jersey shore has dense soft sand so I tested it. I assembled the cart, loaded into to van with the typical load of stuff we use at the beach. I went to the local golf course and rolled the loaded cart into a practice sand trap and it worked really well. Then I found a playground nearby with a sandbox and again it worked really well. I wasn't going to drive to the beach (2 hours to get there) but it passed the sand test so I recommend this cart.
