I wanted a "girly" ceiling fan and light for my MBR, and this is the one I chose. Yes, the metal color is a bit brassy-pinkish -- some would say borderline tacky/campy -- but I like it for "glamming up" my bedroom. The crystals are beautiful and the 40 or so large, weighy spheres took about 45 minutes for me to attach after the elecrician removed the older fan and installed this one. The long crystals came pre-installed, with a couple extras included in case of breakage. The fan uses a remote and has 6 speeds, moving a surprisingly impressive amount of air. The LED lights have several different colors and brightnesses. The fan runs quietly and has no balance issues thus far (it's only been a week). The clear blades fold away neatly on top of the light fixture when the fan isn't being used. IF you are looking for an understated "elegant" fan/light, this might be over the top. This chandelier is absolutely beautiful and was the perfect choice for my entryway. The crystal pieces take some time to install, so be prepared for a little patience during assembly, but the finished result is well worth the effort. I especially love that it is dimmable, allowing me to adjust the brightness depending on the mood and time of day. Once illuminated, the crystals create a stunning effect and make a great first impression when guests enter my home.
