Mission Handcrafted tiffany stained glass ceiling light lampshade is slight heavy than you expected, as it is made of really 100% stained glass. But when you knock it, it sounds like plastic. That's why? Because of its special manufacturing process. Each glass piece is cut by hand, then polish the edge before wrapping the copper foil. The edges of the glass pieces are wrapped with adhesive copper tape (copper foil). Then putted together in a mould according to the pattern. At last, using soldering material to weld each glass at a very high temperature. The Stained glass is Much Heavy than Plastic, and couldn't been burned, normal knife couldn't cut them. Easy to Check it.

The quality of the fixture really impressed me as soon as I took it out of the box. The glass pieces feel substantial and well set, with colors that look rich and vibrant when the light is on, not washed out or cheap. The metal components feel sturdy and secure, and nothing about it comes across as flimsy or poorly made. Really really great light fixture! I am very happy with the quality. The instructions are very easy and quick to assemble. I had it up within 20 min. The glass is very sturdy and I had to put it up and take it down twice to adjust and I never felt nervous about setting it down or holding it with one hand. It was solid. The colors are really really pretty and vibrant. They catch the light perfectly and look great in my sun room! For this price point at over 2K, it was a complete disappointment. The packing came in a box that was not fitted properly. No instructions. There was a flaw where the socket was facing outward and sticking out of the disk. Perhaps we didn’t put it together properly but my electrician gave up on it. The 3-Light Baroque Tiffany Glass ceiling light is a beautiful piece. It arrived well packaged and quickly. The directions for assembling the light were minimal and unclear. It was one gritty picture and a few sentences. There isn’t a ground wire but only hot and neutral. In addition, there is not a grounding screw on the metal piece that attaches to the ceiling to hold the light. Light fixture came as described and was easy to install. Looks great. Only thing I would note (and why I took away 1 star) is that the metal plate at the very bottom is functional, not decorative. You see it when you stand under it so I expected it to have a finished look and instead it's just a plate with several holes in it. Gorgeous! I had a pendant lamp in this location previously and wanted a semi-mounted because I wanted a more open look to the room after having rearranged some things. It worked. And it’s beautiful. It took about an hour to install, and it would have been quicker if the supplied mounting hardware was better suited to the task. The brackets weren’t large enough and the screws were too short but it really was a minor obstacle. I saw no flaws whatsoever in the glass or overall design. I highly recommend this light!. Helene.
