Only 4 stars because the only thing this chair lifts is your feet and legs when it reclines back, I’m elderly and thought the seat would lift to help getting up, it doesn’t. But other than that it’s a a pretty cool chair. I love the charging arm and it wasn’t hard to put together. The hardest part was the delivery man trying to put on porch without a dolly and the box being so large I unboxed it on the front porch, a family member just had surgery and we’re going to try it out for her to sleep on since she can’t do stairs or anything to low to the ground to sit on and so far she said it’s comfortable. Wanted a recliner to recover in after knee replacement surgery. But didn’t have a lot of space. This smaller recliner was a great option. It is extremely comfortable. The delivery left something to be desired. They kind of tossed it in the direction of the front door. The box is quite heavy so they were probably struggling and ultimately gave up. But once inside, it was relatively easy to unpack and put together. But two people were necessary. The bolsters didn’t have a right or left indicated so that was a little tricky, but otherwise the instructions were easy to follow. I don’t think anyone over 5’10”would enjoy this recliner. It’s on the smaller side and your feet would definitely hang over the edge. I thought the back and foot rest could move separately but they move in tandem. For example, you can’t be upright and have the foot rest up. Or you can’t be reclining back and have the foot rest down. The foot rest does not fully rise to seat-level but it’s still very comfortable. One thing I cannot figure out is how to make it stop rocking andor swiveling. This posed a problem during recovery when trying to rise from the chair because it would rock back or swivel. I feel like there should be a feature to lock the chair so it does not move. The color matched the picture given in the website. I loved them. The shade is very pretty. The only reason why I gave them 4 star is because both lamp shades came with some black and blue stains/marks (adding a few pics), even though are not very obvious, took away my complete joy ☹️.
