The function of the Escargot 49 oz. Wine Decanter is based on the fact of a double aeration effect. The first aeration takes place when the wine is poured out of the bottle into the escargot decanter exposing the content of the bottle to oxygen. Lift the decanter from horizontal to a vertical position to fill the decanter. The second contact with oxygen is triggered when the wine is poured out of the Escargot decanter into the glass. When pouring hold the decanter by the oval indent for conveyance. The decanter construction forces fresh air through the already decanted wine a second time to fill the air space in the decanter. Designed as a sequence of six tapestries from Le Morte d'Arthur's commission while Burne-Jones was working with Morris and Co. It took Burne-Jones and Dearie, who designed the Gothic tapestries backgrounds, over five years (1891-1894) to produce the tapestries of the Legend of King Arthur. The handmade decanter distinguishes by an elegant and complex design. Modeled after a musical horn’s coiled shape, the decanter is formed freely without the help of any molds and proves extremely difficult to create. Requiring three master glassblowers’ efforts, the horn’s form is mouth blown with two openings on either end, the larger of which is to be used for both receiving and pouring the wine.

The full armor of god figurine on a bible base gorgeously detailed figurine depicts authentic armor from Biblical times. It brings to mind Ephesians, which describes "the full armor of God" against the devil's schemes. Verses 14-17 are engraved on the soldier's cape. Part of verse 13, "Put on the full armor of God, " is on the round convex shield in raised gold letters. Appropriately, the base is a Holy Bible replica. The figurine is 9" high and made of resin. Comes in an attractive full-color gift box which also contains a color tri-fold brochure.
