No matter what I do I cannot get this pole in the middle level. Other than that it’s great. I fired it up temporarily to make sure it worked & it did. It’s sitting inside because I need a cover for it. I will move it out on our covered breezeway. We live in FL so this is perfect for those nights it’s a little too chilly. It’s a gift so I didn’t want to run it too long. For the most part the assembly is easy. I have three parts left that are not in the directions at all. I even had both my kids read them to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. My guess is they are for the center support & have something to do with holding the propane tank. I love the “table” that goes around it. Perfect for a few little decorations. That I can get level despite the center pole. It’s all ready to give to my partner for Christmas. We LOVE this thing! Best upgrade ever. We purchased a sufficiently rated countdown timer switch with intervals that seemed appropriate for a bathroom heater (Leviton DT102 15-30-1h-2h) and have been enjoying this heated mirror so much. A brief ON will defog the mirror, while 15 minutes ON (switching on a bit before getting into the shower) is long enough for it to heat up fully and make a huge difference when stepping OUT of the shower. 30mins is great for getting ready on a very cold morning. The mirror optics seem very clear and high quality. We did not do the installation ourselves, as it was put in during a whole house rewire the electricians opted to put in a recessed outlet box behind the mirror and just plug it in there, rather than hard wiring it. This will preserve flexibility going forward. Because it was going in a very particular place, and we have plaster rather than drywall, they opted to install cross pieces of plywood secured to the wall, and mounted the mirror to the wood strips. It’s very secure-feeling. My one negative point is the thing gets so warm that it’s not comfortable to lean my face close (bad eyesight) for putting on make-up. I love how easy these were to get out of box and hung and working. They don’t put out a ton of heat. I accidentally ordered two, but decided to use both.
