The hood showed up in flawless condition. Thick foam comparments and stainless covers well protected. Install is time consuming, instructions are clear. It is BEAUTIFUL! I am remodeling my home. I had a set of headbangers above my stove and I just wanted them gone. I found this one bc I had to have a free-hanging vent and it is PERFECT. I am not sure what all they had to do to install it, but they did great. It's not real quiet, but I don't use that part much.
