This has worked well for us. Way to out together and produces a great compost. One thing to note is that the compost can rest on the bottom ledge inside which can make it difficult to open the doors. Align the opener and place it on top of the can lid, press the button for one second and release to start cutting. When the cutting has completed, press the button again to reverse the cutting wheel. Wait a few seconds for the motor to stop and the red LED light to turn off, lift the can opener away from the can and the magnet will pick up the lid as well.
