My flooring installation experience includes several houses with either solid wood, various laminates and engineered floors. Overall, I liked the general quality of the 7-ply engineered flooring with the 2 mm hickory layer. The boxes arrived in good condition and all the planks in good shape. I left the flooring in the intended room for about a month and the flooring went down easily with a hand nailer. I noted some warpage and when resawing some of the planks for trim found some internal moisture in the layers. The satin finish looks nice (se attached photos, though seems to be inadequate for any real traffic, so I am recoating with 2-3 more layers of polyeurathane – see one small plank for comparison in the wood-tile interface photo. I may never leave my shower. I had to buy a connector to install it in the ceiling, but I think it makes it more luxurious. My only complaint is that I have a hard time remembering which way to turn the knob to have the water spray from different places. Upon looks alone everything is great, but during installation we had to find fittings to extend the jets and shower head to be able to make them able to screw in right with the wall and tile. I wish there was an easier way to be able to order spare parts from the maker. Update we were able to find fittings on our own, but the makers also contacted me back but said they don’t make any themselves.
