They chairs are light weight and stack easily, but they are very sturdily constructed. The chair seats are very comfortable as is and even more so with cushions -- the seats accommodate my existing cushions. The chair backs are a bit more upright than I had hoped, but they will be perfect for dining. If you are seeking chairs for reading / lounging, you might want something with a bit more slant or recline to the back. I also bought the 47" dining table (in Vintage Tekwood) to go with these chairs. The set was scheduled to be delivered on Monday, but arrived on Friday. I am a very happy customer. This product looks very nice and matches w my black rocking chairs very well. And, this material is a must for the humid, wet cobditions in FL. But, when 2 ppl are on it, it doesn't seem to slide very well in one solid movement. It moves in 2 different directions, esp w a weight differential b/t the 2 ppl.
