Very comfortable with the curved seat. No need for a cushion. Assemnly was straight forward but needed some muscle to get the screws all the way in and the bolts tightened down. Like other reviewers mentioned, they are a bit challenging to assemble, but worth the effort. It was very important to me to not have any furniture leaving rust stains on my porch, like my last set.
