Use the Allen key that looks like a wine bottle opener! These chairs are beautiful, sturdy and very comfortable, but they take a few hours to put together. The first chair took me forever to assemble, but I used it as a learning experience. I learned that I could have saved myself a ton of time if I had used the provided allen key with the red top (looks like a wine bottle opener), instead of the conventional one that was also provided.
