Beautiful, thick flooring with great waterproof backing. I have the flooring butted up to our original wood flooring and its pretty close to "natural." Item shipped fast, was packaged almost too well but it still came with chips in the corners of some of the pieces. I was surprised with how well it was packaged and wrapped that it had chips and dings in it. **Update: I received a new package that came with no chips or dings! The actual product was fine and met expectations. However 3 of these large tiles were damaged. I ordered just enough for my bathroom. When the 3 were discovered as damaged, Wayfair replaced with another delivery. However the tiles showed up 1 month later. They could not offer expedite shipping. My bathroom renovation completion was delayed due to this. The delivery attempts were also delayed despite receiving email updates. Then they delivered to my neighbors house. Luckily since I noticed this immediately they were able to drive back and pick up and bring back to my house. 6 new tiles but 2 were damaged. My flooring installation experience includes several houses with either solid wood, various laminates and engineered floors. Overall, I liked the general quality of the 7-ply engineered flooring with the 2 mm hickory layer. The boxes arrived in good condition and all the planks in good shape. I left the flooring in the intended room for about a month and the flooring went down easily with a hand nailer. I noted some warpage and when resawing some of the planks for trim found some internal moisture in the layers. The satin finish looks nice (se attached photos, though seems to be inadequate for any real traffic, so I am recoating with 2-3 more layers of polyeurathane – see one small plank for comparison in the wood-tile interface photo. I will start by saying that I would have given this desk 5 stars , the only thing I am docking a star for is the instruction manual. There were a few reviews I saw that had people experiencing problems with the assembly process due to inaccurate or incomplete information in the manual. It has you jump or skip steps if you would like certain configuring options of the desk , whereas there should be a default option to just make it the way it is in the picture. Although it is neat there are 3 different configurations of the desk , I only needed the one I originally wanted, so make sure you are making the exact configuration that you want, or you will be re-assembling it.
