The wood finish is very nice. The size is what I needed for my purpose. However, the drawer did not open until I manually pushed down on the locking pin from above. When the drawer was closed, it locked itself. I have never seen such a primitively designed locking system. If it is important to have a working lock, don't buy this. I contacted "customer service" for help. She could not help, but arranged for a tech support person to call me. Two days later: crickets! Simple assembly, solid construction, and looks amazing! The delivery team was amazing and everything fit together great. If I had to say something negative, only that the boxes could have been labeled better to give you an idea about what order to put things together, but I have a lot of experience building things so it didnt negatively impact me personally. I absolutely love my desk! I would give it 5 stars but I could use at least one drawer. It is large so if you like to work with multiple monitors you'll have plenty of space for that and your files.
