Installed this in our shower with an opening of 40 1/2 inches wide. Fit was pretty good had to use a little more silicone on the glass wall section. In my case getting the door to swing without rubbing the bottom water guard was a bit of work. But when all said and done door looks great. Very satisfied, strong and sturdy. Ended up working out PERFeCTLY and it was a fraction of the price of the custom quotes!! Definitely need professional installation, but they had no problem putting it in. Very nice door. Hinges are set for a 90 degree close. The hinges mount to one shower wall. If your walls aren't square with your shower base then your door will close too hard or not enough. If your door closes too hard, you can open a hinge and take a spring out. There are two springs in each hinge. If your door doesn't close enough you can open the hinge, remove the shaft and file or grind it to change the closing angle. I had to do the latter because my shower wall was at an angle that was greater than 90 degrees to my shower floor. The shower door directions don't mention altering the hinges. We’re very pleased with this purchase. Shower door quotes were coming in at over $4k. At a fraction of the cost we thought we’d try this shower wall instead. It looks great. High quality and was easy for our contractor to install. Furthermore, the delivery process was industry leading. The delivery process was communicative (wayfair has clearly invested in systems and processes). The delivery personnel were extremely professional and friendly.
