I took a while to write this because it took us six months to find a contractor to put it together! Everyone is busy during peak contractor season. The finished product is amazing. It's a great deal and an amazing shed with lots of storage. Very stylish. I think our contractor had to buy paint, roof shingles and a couple of extra pieces of plywood. I will give you the breakdown, it took a licensed builder a full week to put it together but it's done right. Just to let you know if you are a DIY it will probably take three times that. WORTH IT. Exactly as expected. Strong, high quality mailbox that arrived quickly. Installation: Easy to attach to a mounting plate using the holes on the bottom of the exterior sides. It’s petty heavy, so be sure to attach to a strong post - I got the Gibraltar Landover post (which is actually hollow) and slid it over a 4x4 sunk 17” into the ground which is 30” above ground (so the 4x4 is a total of 47”). It looks great and was definitely worth the money to upgrade from the low-quality, dented mailbox that the prior owners had chosen. I got custom decals elsewhere to finish the look.. Marion. Assembly you will need 3 people to help lift the frame, the rest of the time I was able to do everything by myself, the directions are clear and easy to follow, just don’t assume you know what’s next and put in all the screws, it all turned out looking amazing and I recommend using some magnetic hooks for lighting and hiding wires. The gazebo looks nice once finished . It was not too difficult to assemble even though the instructions are quiet rough . We did it with just my husband and I. The worst part is the roof pieces have a film that has to be removed and that took up the most of our time. It was brutal . Maybe 4 hours to remove . Great, sturdy mailbox. Looks fantastic. We now have by far the nicest mailbox on the street. It is pretty heavy (about 25lbs I believe) so make sure your post can handle it. Not a fan of the wood block for mounting. It will eventually rot. Would have liked to see a pvc product or similar. We really love the size and style of the solarium. It is very sturdy and we have had no issues with opening and closing the doors. I will say that the inside top flaps do not run flush and insects are able to get in. I think with some manipulating you might be able to better secure them but I have not yet tried.
