We added a rug pad under it (one-third inch thick), and it is cushier now, but for the price, I would’ve preferred not to have to buy a rug pad too. Rugs are much nicer than expected!!! Thin rugs but does have the non-skid backing that gives it a bit of cushion. Should be easy to hose off when needed.
