It was delivered 2 days early. Queen size. It was heavy but I was able to drag it out of the box--someone else moved it into the home. Instructions said to have mattress with zipper side down, I didn't see any zipper. However, the back does have a silver surface so be sure to have that side on flat surface. I did not wait 72hrs but by the evening it was inflated enough for sleep. The edges are softer than center. When exiting you can feel more of the memory foam softness. The center is a medium firm, leaning toward firm IMO. I wish it were the opposite and the edges had more firmness. Overall good bed. Frame is from wayfair as well.. Quinette. Philadelphia. This mattress works ok. I think it leans more to a firmer side than medium firm. Though it works good, I think, having more memory foam on the top part would make it feel a little more comfortable and would definitely help with firmness. I appreciate the support on edges because it really is holding well with weight and I don’t just fall when seated on the edge but I still think there are other medium firm mattress around that feels more comfortable.. I really like this king size bed. I have a bad lower back and I have been unable to sleep in the bed we had before this one. And that bed cost us about 1,000. This bed from Wayfair cost a lot less than and it is so comfortable! I can sleep through the night and my back doesnt hurt in the morning. My husband loves it too. It also doesnt make me hot at night. It came in a box, and was vacuum sealed. They mean it when they say stay out of the way when you open it. I put it on one side of the bed, where it would unroll out to the other side while opening. It almost took out my cat. Lol. It also doesnt have an odor like some new beds. It's only been a couple of nights that I've slept on this mattress. But, it's really perfect. It's firm. Be sure that the description is true. I love firm beds and find they provide the deepest sleep for me. But the gel makes space for your body's curves. Unlike other firm mattresses, I don't get fatigued in my hips or lumbar region after sitting or sleeping on it. It absolutely inflated to 12 inches within hours and I started sleeping on it that night. I want to do everything from my bed now. Ideally, the rug pad should be cut approximately 1-2 inches short of the rug perimeter. Your rug pad dimensions will be a few inches shorter than the size of the area rug. This is NOT a defect nor is it the wrong item, the rug pads are made this way to avoid causing the rug to have a lip which would get in the way of walking, a door opening etc.
