Kenai

The GenStone wall cap is a versatile trim piece. It is commonly used to finish the top of a retaining wall, half wall, or planter and has even been used as a storage niche in a shower. The wall cap also features a recessed area on the bottom side of the piece which can be used to create an attractive overhang where the cap transitions into another building material. The recessed niche can also be trimmed off with any ordinary hand saw to make the piece totally flat. The wall cap is designed to be used with GenStone panels and is available in all GenStone stacked stone colors to match the GenStone ledgers and trim pieces. The wall cap is installed with premium construction adhesive and screws on the top of the piece. All fastener holes and transitions between wall caps can be concealed with GenStone eXact color caulking and perfectly blended with GenStone color-specific paint kits.

Carrara

Luxury shower surrounds for the DIY enthusiast in pre-cut kits for common shower wall sizes. These panels are lightweight, easy to carry, cut, and fabricate. Cutting can be done with a skill saw, angle grinder, jigsaw, etc. To fabricate you can use a Dremel tool, miter, etc. We suggest using Locktite PowerGrab Ultimate adhesive or Boss 125 adhesive to adhere panels to the walls but compatibility to the other substrates might need testing. We suggest using 100% clear silicone to glue the trim to the panels. We suggest applying the adhesive to the panel, applying circle blobs of caulking about 6”-8” apart throughout the sheet. We also suggest applying 100% silicone, about a ¼” continuous bead around the panel outside edges to ensure a good edge seal and prevent moisture or debris from getting behind the panel.

There were a few hairline cracks in the large pieces of Flexstone but the contractor thinks he can work around those. The glue was a total loss but we purchased some locally for our project.(A piece of cardboard at the tips would have saved the glue)the top of the box was smashed.
