They are not as deep as I would like, but they are useful given they are wide. There is no smell or anything odd with the wood itself, which is nice. The drawers move smoothly, the wood is stained cleanly, and this piece meets all my expectations. I love that it hits right above my baseboards so it can actually go all the way against the wall. This is a nice compact dehumidifier. It's sturdy and heavy but doesn't take up too much space. The wheels and handle are great for mobility. One of the best things about it is how quiet it is in operation. For a commercial dehumidifier, the sound is very low. I don't have the ability to fully comment on it's effectiveness yet but can say that the reading changed rather quickly with a short test try.
