I'm not sure what to do when it burns out but assembly was easy, removal should be easy as well. I wish I didn't have to put caulk around it, it'd be nice if it came with some sort of flexible seal. We purchased a set of lights to replace all of our exterior lighting and have been very impressed. We were able to install them all ourselves and are happy with the quality and appearance of them all. There was one defective part on one light which replaced immediately.
