We purchased this for a new home build that had a slide in range in an island. We did not want an exhaust hood that hung down from the ceiling and this one was perfect for a flush mount in the ceiling. It was priced considerably less than other brands that had white glass finishes. There are a couple discoveries we made however. It did not turn on once the power was brought to the new build. We called Awoco and were told to check in the black box under the stainless grill, for a white connection that sometimes is disconnected. That solved the problem and the unit lit up and worked with the remote and the voice commands. Customer service was very helpful and seemed to know exactly what to look for. There is one other thing to be aware of with the voice command, occasionally it picks up what it believes to be a request for action and starts talking, asking for directions. We thought we were hearing voices until we realized it was the exhaust fan talking. Now if the TV or one of us saying something similar to "Hi Awoco" (prompt for commands) gets her talking we have a good chuckle.. Norma. Ware, MA. Sat Feb 14 2026

Great option to add a toilet without digging into concrete in a basement. The toilet basically acts like a sump pump shooting water up through the plumbing when the water raises in the toilet. We were able to build it fairly easily BUT we had a few parts that were not the correct size. We are waiting for the manufacturer to contact us regarding replacement of the 2 roof vents which were about 6inches too short. One of the corner frames was too short by about an inch as well. we were able to make this work by drilling a different hole but it was incredibly frustrating to deal with. I think we were unlucky enough to get a box that had been previously opened. Many of the parts were dented, though not beyond use, and it was not really obvious that they were until we started putting the poly panels into the frames. If the manufacturer makes this right, by replacing the vents, I would probably give it 4 stars. I am very excited to have it completed and it is quite sizable. My husband is 6ft1 and is able to walk around the majority of the space without ducking. I am 5ft4 and can stand at the shortest side without ducking. Update!!
