I wanted purple dishes and these were great. I’ve had the same dishes for 47 years so I was due for a change. The bowls are very deep and the sandwich plates are a bit smaller than I’m used to, but actually work great so I don’t fill up my plate and can cut calories. They go thru the dishwasher just fine. This is such a beautiful purple apple! It is large and shiny and reminds me of Snow White except it’s purple! You can see that it fits in the palm of your hand. I love this one and the pear which is a shade of purple. I will use them for decorations. It’s made of a type of ceramic with a paint glaze over it and a brown plastic stem coming out of the top. I am thinking of placing it on my book shelf in the family room or my vase shelf in my bedroom. It would look nice on either one.
