As Ellen Ehk Åkesson was asked to create an art object in honor of Ulrica Hydman Vallien's artistry, the magnificent Ticka was born. The object became part of Kosta Boda's 2021 tribute collection to the late Hydman Vallien. Ticka, available in a limited edition of 100 pieces, is a vessel from Ellen’s own imagination based on the same shape as Ulrica’s “snake bowl”. “I wanted to make something of my own, but with a connection to Ulrica’s art. For the tribute collection, I was inspired by the directness of her approach and style. The vessel symbolizes a tree trunk. Very thoroughly packed x2! This is a rugged, solid piece. Nice detail, including the skulls internal upper pallet. Nice weight! Very good looking. I would say you could put the measurements from back of skull to tip of nose anywhere from 19.5"-19.75" This is a large skull! The only thing I would not say about it is that it is black. It has the kinda standard dino bone patina. The bottom jaw and stand are separate when you open the box. Instructions included. The bottom jaw attaches to the top by two, strong bolts(mount points assure you are solid against the top of the skull) and the stand has a nice threaded pipe that finishes the mount. If you look at the average T-Rex skull being @5 feet long then this is about a 1/3 scale replica! Probably needs a little dust/dirt clean-up when it comes out of the Styrofoam, but with a little vacuum and a moist washcloth...maybe a toothbrush, a real conversation piece! Don’t worry about any shipping problems with him breaking bcuz Wayfair packed him up like it was Fort Knox, I can’t stress how good it’s packed, I had to have my neighborhood teen who helps me with tasks around the house come over and get that crow out for me! He’s perfect and very very heavy, I’ll most likely keep him out all year round, even winters bcuz he must be concrete and he’ll age hopefully with a nice patina. I love him! Sulawesi Armor: The Sulawesi Armor Vest gets its namesake from the place it originated. Sulawesi is an island located in the Indonesian archipelago and the vest is made from over 150 seaheart beans drilled and tied over a fiber backing. These hard discs provided protection to the indigenous tribes of Sulawesi as they hunted and warred against each other. Each vest is unique and is a reflection of the community and artisan that produced them. Not only did this offer protection but they were a status symbol within the tribal community.

This fisherman is cast iron with a bronze finish. He sits comfortably on a shelf or table.
