The unit is whisper quiet depending on the setting. Even on high, it’s much more quiet than the traditional non inverter units. It’s worth the bump in price. Has a nice sleek look that is modern and blends in well with my bedroom. Personally, the aesthetics look way better in my opinion than a mini split unit plopped on the wall. And this is a much more affordable solution that doesn’t need professional installation. No jump in my electric bill either. I don’t have central air and no plans to get it. This works just fine. Both are used in bedrooms - one needed to have the portable as it is an egress for fire dept. Anyway, in the past the portable units I bought from LG as well as De'Longhi ALL had a coupler to snap into place. This helps to keep the hose where it needs to be. Your unit even has the tabs to snap said coupler into the unit. BUT there was not one provided. Am thinking Frigidaire forgot this as opposed to thinking it was not needed. The hose does not attach to that base and could easily come out. I hate to duct tape it as it will definitely leave sticky residue and frankly when I pay this much for a unit, I expect it will have all connectors included. Very quiet compared to most brands I’ve had. I do think it could be a littler cooler on max but it will eventually cooldown the room and maintain good temp after. Very energy efficient and sleek looking. I installed through the wall with no issues. Only problem is that it was damaged during shipping but Wayfair made it right. Rated well by Consumer Reports, and good at the price (top of the line ovens run $3k, moderate ovens run about $2k... This one was $1.5k). Easy controls, bakes well. Sealed lower element , convection included. Easy to clean inside with a wipe down. And it was white exterior which I wanted to match the rest of my kitchen.
