The unit is whisper quiet depending on the setting. Even on high, it’s much more quiet than the traditional non inverter units. It’s worth the bump in price. Has a nice sleek look that is modern and blends in well with my bedroom. Personally, the aesthetics look way better in my opinion than a mini split unit plopped on the wall. And this is a much more affordable solution that doesn’t need professional installation. No jump in my electric bill either. I don’t have central air and no plans to get it. This works just fine.
