I love the color--a teal-ish blue--a little darker--that looks terrific with my china. Ordinarily, I wouldn't be attracted to this pattern because, when closely examined, it has a quirky little metal element on the side that signals "industrial." French Home's traditional and elegant Laguiole design steak knives with the iconic three rivet curved handle and bee emblem are comfortable to hold and perfectly balanced. These steak knives have faux black onyx handles and 1.8mm stainless steel blades that cut effortlessly and are more substantial than others on the market. Our knives are dishwasher safe and serrated so they do not need sharpening. The onyx handles are a lovely addition to your dining and tablescape. Laguiole is a town in France where this style of cutlery originated in the 1820s.

These steak knives are a good match for the Ginkgo International Le Prix flatware set, which doesn't provide a steak knife. For the most part, I am happy with the look and feel of the knives. That being said, the handles are not wood, even if the specifications say so. Also, I question the "dishwasher safe" rating.
