This LG portable AC has honestly been a lifesaver during the heat. It cools my room quickly, keeps the temperature comfortable for hours, and runs much quieter than I expected. I am so excited for this mini split unit. Getting a new central air conditioner is just not in the cards right now. This is a very affordable price for the amount of ac and heat that you are getting. Things of note, we had to buy a specialty drill bit to be able to install the units properly. We live in a brick house and needed to be able to drill through the brick. The lines that connect from outside to inside need about a 2 inch diameter hole to pass through. We also decided to buy a rack so that we could hang the main condenser above the ground. We were not able to install this by ourselves and had to call for reinforcements via an HVAC guy. Once everything is finished being installed I will update with the finished product! UPDATE: like others have posted, you will need a special HVAC vacuum to start the unit. You will also need special wire and a 220 outlet to connect to. Took about 24 hours to dehumidify our piano room and get it to the humidity level I set it to (from 55% to 45%). It's not the most quiet appliance, but it is very effective and isn't in our main living space, so it's perfect for us. So far the manual setting works pretty well. I set it to 45% and it automatically turns on and off to keep the humidity level around there. I have a hygrometer near the piano that tracks humidity level and it's staying very steady since getting this dehumidifier. I'm also I glad I got the one with wi-fi connection. You can control everything through the app– turn the dehumidifier on/off; change the modes between Auto, "Dry" (the manual mode), Quiet, Fan, and Continuous; and fan speed. The Vevor 16" extraction blower fan is extremely strong. This thing moves some serious air. Don't think you are going to be powering this thing up without anyone noticing. The fan has some serious torque and it is extremely loud in either the low or the high setting. Likely due to the all metal construction. The price seems very fair considering it comes with a hose and the quality seems to be there as well. The only thing I have an issue with is getting the hose to stay in place. The tie system works but is almost useless. I might switch out for a ratchet strap or something on the next use. Also this unit is very large. Your going to need some extra shelve space for storage. Lucky the hose flattens out pretty well. All in all, I would buy the Vevor 16" blower fan again with out question. The thing could make a hurricane happen.. Jeremy. Tue Dec 06 2022
