This is a nice-looking pendant with decent build quality and a nice finish. Once installed, it was worth the effort. However, getting there was more difficult than it should have been. The instructions didn't match the characteristics of the fixture in some cases, and although there was a "parts bag", some of the parts were already attached to various components of the fixture. On more than one occasion I assumed that a part was missing, only to find that it was actually attached to some part of the fixture and needed to be removed to be reinstalled in the place indicated on the instructions. Further, the instructions pointed to an included "socket wrench" for fixing a lock ring in place inside a tight space and there was nothing like that included in the box. This can be done so much better, by at least giving the parts a number or letter and referring to that in diagrams and instructions, but there is no such assistance here. This is a bit like how self-assembly instructions from the 1980s looked. Proper installation of this suggests four drywall plugs in the ceiling in addition to attachment to the ceiling box (the instructions say two, but four were included, and there are holes for four). This is probably not necessary but the unit probably won't pull flush to the ceiling without it. Although it's obvious to some, make sure you know the difference between a wood screw and a mounting screw because the instructions offer no such aid :) Otherwise, after installed, it works fine, dims fine, and looks modern and classy..
