What an incredible little machine! I ordered this mainly due to the fact that my home I recently bought needed a thorough cleaning especially the window sliders. My husband and I have been living in our apartment for almost 4 and a half years and we have had two dogs with these 4 years. Our complex has never cleaned our carpets (every 6 months they get cleaned). We rented the rug doctor and it didn't do what I thought and it was bulky and only went one time. I have been seeing good and bad reviews about this, but I chose to invest in our health. We have dust in the carpets from shoes and every daily activities. When my husband put it together and saw the rows he was impressed already. It didn't take him long he followed the directions. Some people's reviews I have read proves they didn't follow directions, follow it! This is expensive and worth it do it correctly. I would give this vacuum 10 stars if I could. I don’t have any animals but I recently purchased a velvet sofa that is basically a lint magnet! It drove me insane wipping off the sofa every other day. I was having second thoughts about the purchase but I then thought to purchase a handheld vacuum and omg I’m so happy I did. Sucked the lint away in matter of seconds. Picks up fast and quick and the attachments are perfect for my hall stairs so I can remove the brush and use the hose so I’m not placing the dirty brush on my sofa after using it to vacuum up dirt tracked in from outdoors. I have an old shower enclosure I hoped to bring back to life with this rather expensive product. I tried cleaning hard water spots off the glass doors and after 2 or 3 attempts can see some improvement, but not enough to justify the price. When I tried it on the abused grout in my entryway, it delivered - leaving the grout much cleaner than before. Well, it's definitely a 'start-up' kit! Enough to get the spa up and running but be prepared to purchase chemicals fairly soon for maintenance! Also, there are instructions to correct certain water conditions but no products(s) supplied to do so. Low alkalinity water was the first one that comes to mind. Overall the kit will get you going but that's about it. Also, the quantities of chemicals in the kit that are supplied makes the kit quite pricey when compared to the chemical quantities/prices when purchased at a retail level. The problem is the average purchaser is not aware of what is needed but that can be addressed if one downloads and studies the owner's manual prior to purchase.
